About This Video

In this video I’m flipping through my memory journal from January through July 2021, and I’m keeping it real the whole way. This is my Archer and Olive notebook (the big, super thick one—pretty sure it’s the 192-page), and y’all… it’s taking a beating. You can see where it’s been rubbing across my desk, and even though I haven’t memory kept every single week, it’s already chunky. I walk you through the little details I added up front (stickers on the cover, a simple “Hello 2021,” my word of the year, and a couple quotes), and then we get into the weekly spreads. You’ll see how my style shifts as the months go on—early on I used a lot of Happy Planner stickers and tried to be a little more “put together,” and then I got honest-to-goodness lazy and decided I’d rather get the pictures in than stress about perfect layouts. Some weeks are super basic: a big sticker, a little washi, and scribbles with a Tombow marker, because the memories are what matter most to me. I also share a few fun bits I tucked in, like a journaling card from The Coffee Monsterz Co, a Brothers Bond bourbon tag, and my birthday card (yes, it’s Schitt’s Creek themed). My biggest takeaway: I try to give myself grace—messy is fine if the memories are there.
