I though it would be fun (and different than what I normally do) to film 7 days of my lettering practice and give a few tips that I've learned on my lettering journey. If you'd like me to expand on this through more videos, please let me know, and if you have any questions, drop me a comment below! Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the video. W H O A M I ? About This Video

In this video I did something a little different than my normal planner setup content—I filmed seven days of my hand lettering practice inside a 17-month academic planner that Bander sent me. I’m a big believer in “if you use it, you lose it,” so I wanted to keep my skills fresh and show you what real practice looks like, including mistakes (yes, I misquoted one and had to correct it). I don’t profess to be a perfect letterer, and I definitely don’t follow every “official” rule—I learned my own style and just made it work for me. I also shared the biggest tips I’ve learned along the way: practice, don’t let it frustrate you, and go slow (the video is sped up, but I’m lettering much slower in real life). I talked specifically to my fellow lefties about why those upstrokes can feel harder and how being gentle helps keep your brush nib from fraying. We also chatted pens—my ride-or-die is the Tombow Fudenosuke hard tip because it’s easier to control, and I’m not a fan of starting with the Tombow Dual Brush Pen because that longer, softer nib can be tough to manage. If you want more technique-focused videos, let me know—I’m happy to expand on this!
