The OnePlus 15 is here, and it doubles down on what OnePlus does best: top-tier performance and massive battery life. In this hands-on review, I break down the good, the confusing, and everything in between. From the 165Hz display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 performance, and the huge 7,300mAh battery, to the camera setup and software experience. Is it finally a phone that can compete with Samsung and Apple? Or are there trade-offs you need to know about before buying? Watch to see if the OnePlus 15 is the right phone for you. 💬 COME SAY HI: ‣ BLOG - http://www.bythaohuynh.com ‣ INSTAGRAM: http://www.instagram.com/thaohuynhtv ‣ TIKTOK: http://www.tiktok.com/@thaohuynhy 💼 FOR BUSINESS INQUIRIES ‣ thaophuynhbusiness@gmail.com OR fill out contact form on my blog - https://www.bythaohuynh.com DISCLOSURE ‣ OnePlus 15 was provided by Oneplus for review purposes. About This Video

OnePlus is back just 10 months after the OnePlus 13, and yep—they skipped 14 because it’s considered unlucky in Chinese culture. In this video, I go hands-on with the OnePlus 15 and break down why it feels both super impressive and… kinda confusing. The new boxy design looks clean (Pixel Fold vibes from the back), and that sandstone color has this smooth stone-like texture that I’m low key obsessed with—plus it resists fingerprints and doesn’t wobble much. The alert slider is gone and replaced by a customizable “Plus Key,” and the IR blaster is still here, just moved to the back. The headline specs are wild: a 165Hz display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and a massive 7,300mAh battery. But I’m real about what matters—165Hz is basically overkill unless you’re playing the handful of games that support it, and the resolution dropped to FHD+ to get there (I personally can’t tell, but I get why people won’t love that). Battery life, though? Insane. I’m getting over double what I get on my Pixel 10 Pro, and it’s a consistent two-day phone for me, with ~45-minute charging and the brick still in the box. I also talk about OxygenOS 16 feeling like a Frankenstein mashup of Apple and Samsung (some parts I genuinely love, like the gestures), plus the camera situation: smaller sensors, no more Hasselblad, and results that can be really nice—but too inconsistent to call “best-in-class.” My takeaway: if you care most about performance and battery, the OnePlus 15 totally delivers; if cameras are your top priority, you’ll want to think twice.
