OnePlus 15 vs OnePlus 15R: which one is actually worth your money in 2025? I’ve been daily-using both to compare real-world performance, battery life, cameras, display quality, and long-term software support. 💬 COME SAY HI: ‣ BLOG - http://www.bythaohuynh.com ‣ INSTAGRAM: http://www.instagram.com/thaohuynhtv ‣ TIKTOK: http://www.tiktok.com/@thaohuynhy ‣ X: http://www.x.com/thaohuynhtv 💼 FOR BUSINESS INQUIRIES ‣ thaophuynhbusiness@gmail.com OR fill out contact form on my blog - https://www.bythaohuynh.com DISCLOSURE ‣ OnePlus 15 & 15R provided by OnePlus for review purposes. About This Video

I reviewed the OnePlus 15 last month, and then I daily-used the cheaper OnePlus 15R for a couple weeks to see where the real-world differences actually show up. On paper, they look super close: both have excellent displays with that wild 165Hz refresh rate (even if only a handful of apps really use it), both are IP69 water/dust resistant, and both feel fast and smooth in day-to-day use. But there are some sneaky quality-of-life gaps—like the 15 getting a more premium LTPO panel (better always-on behavior with the full wallpaper style), slightly better drop durability ratings, and a much faster USB port for moving big files. Performance is a little better on the OnePlus 15, and you’ll see it most in gaming and in “pro” video features (the 15 has things like 8K recording and Dolby Vision HDR). Battery is where the 15R flexes: it’s got the biggest smartphone battery in North America and in my testing it often matched or even beat the 15—both comfortably landed around two full days. The 15 wins on charging though, with wireless charging (the 15R still doesn’t have it) and faster wired charging. My takeaway: the OnePlus 15 is the true flagship, especially if you care about cameras (telephoto + better ultrawide). But for most people, I’d actually recommend the 15R because it gets you almost the same experience for less money—unless you really need that telephoto lens.
