About This Video

In this video, I show you how to install and run Ubuntu Linux on basically any Android phone using Termux and Andronix, then connect to the desktop with a VNC viewer. I keep it simple and hands-on: you grab Termux from my E Techbox post, install Andronix from the Play Store, and also install a VNC app (I use a VNC viewer) so you can actually see the Ubuntu desktop on your phone. Inside Andronix, I select Ubuntu as the Linux distribution, pick the latest version, and choose the XFCE desktop environment. Andronix auto-copies the commands, then I paste them into Termux and let it download everything (this part takes time, so just be patient). If you get prompts, you type Y to continue, then you set keyboard layout, region, and time zone. After that, you create a VNC password, start the VNC server, and connect using localhost:5901. Once you’re in, you’ve got Ubuntu running on Android—and when you’re done, I show you how to stop it from Termux with the VNC server stop command.
