About This Video

In this video I’m running the latest macOS Tahoe 26 on a Windows PC, and I walk you through the whole OpenCore Hackintosh install step-by-step. The first thing I do is check your CPU (Ctrl + Shift + Esc > Performance) because your processor codename matters for choosing the right EFI. If you can’t find the codename, I use labs.etechbox.com to look it up fast, then I show you the different ways to get an EFI: prebuilt by codename, the EFI management system, a custom EFI from us, or building it from scratch. After that, I download the exact tools you need (GenSMBIOS, ProperTree, Explorer++, MiniTool Partition Wizard, Balena Etcher, the macOS Tahoe installer, and OpenCore Configurator). I generate a unique SMBIOS (I use MacPro7,1 here), then flash the installer to a 32GB USB, assign a drive letter to the EFI partition, and copy my EFI over using Explorer++ as admin. From there I go into BIOS to disable Secure Boot/CSM, enable Above 4G Decoding, reset NVRAM in OpenCore, and start the install. Once Tahoe boots, I finish setup, verify CPU/GPU in About This Mac, then do the post-install step that matters: mount EFI on both the USB and internal drive and copy Boot + OC so you can boot macOS without the flash drive (and keep Windows if you’re dual-booting).
