About This Video

In this video I show you how to install and run macOS Sequoia (15.7.2) on basically any Windows PC—laptop or desktop—using OpenCore. I start by listing the exact files you need (Balena Etcher, MiniTool Partition Wizard, GenSMBIOS, ProperTree, Explorer++, the Sequoia installer image, OpenCore EFI, and OpenCore Configurator) plus a 32GB flash drive. Before you touch anything, I also show you how to check your CPU name in Task Manager, confirm the CPU codename, and if you’re stuck, I use my Etechbox Labs site to look it up fast. Then I walk through the full build: flashing the Sequoia installer to USB with Balena, generating a unique SMBIOS serial (I used MacPro7,1 for my desktop setup), and verifying config.plist basics like keeping -v in boot-args for debugging. After that, I partition the USB properly, copy the EFI to the USB’s EFI partition, and prep your target drive—either dual boot by shrinking Windows, or wipe the drive and go all-in on macOS like I did. Finally, I cover BIOS settings (disable Secure Boot/CSM/Fast Boot, enable virtualization, disable VT-d, enable Above 4G Decoding), run the installer, and finish post-install by moving the EFI from the USB to your main drive so you can boot without the flash drive. I also explain why you might see “11 MB” graphics if you don’t have a compatible GPU installed yet.
