About This Video

In this video, I show you how to install Fedora Linux on basically any Android phone using Termux and AndroNix, then connect to the desktop with a VNC viewer. I start from the browser and take you to the page I linked in the description, grab Termux, then head to the Play Store to install AndroNix and a VNC app (I use a VNC viewer so we can actually see the Fedora desktop). After that, I open AndroNix, pick Fedora as the distro, choose the XFCE desktop environment, and copy the command it generates for me. Next, I paste that command into Termux and let it download and install everything needed. During install, you’ll sometimes get prompts where you type Y to continue, so stay close to your phone. Once it’s done, I set a main password plus a “view-only” password for VNC access. Finally, I open the VNC app, create a connection to localhost:5901, enter the password, and Fedora boots right up on Android. I also show you how to stop it cleanly by closing VNC and running the VNC server stop command in Termux.
