In this video I’m showing you how to fix and properly enable AMD Vega graphics on macOS using OpenCore—whether you’re on a laptop or a desktop. If you check “About This Mac” and you’re seeing something like 11 MB display memory, that’s basically no graphics acceleration. The whole system feels slow and laggy, and it’s not really usable for anything serious. The goal here is to get full acceleration so macOS runs smooth and reports the correct VRAM. I walk you through the exact files I used: NootedRed, OpenCore Configurator, and ProperTree. I mount the EFI (both the USB EFI and the main drive EFI), copy my working EFI to the desktop, then replace WhateverGreen with NootedRed inside EFI/OC/Kexts. After that, I use ProperTree to do an OC Snapshot so the config picks up the new kext properly, then save the config. I also show an optional tweak: removing “-v” from boot-args so you boot to the Apple logo instead of verbose text. Finally, I copy the updated EFI to the main drive, eject the USB, reboot, and confirm the fix in “About This Mac.” On my setup, it changes from 11 MB to 2 GB on RX Vega 11—and you’ll immediately notice everything is smoother (even the background behaves correctly).
