In this video I’m back at Taco Vinyl / Apex Off-Road doing a collab install on the Sxth Element (Six Element Engineering) CPLT Intake for the 2024+ Tacoma. We start with an unboxing and I walk you through what’s actually in the kit—airbox, intake tube, couplers, clamps, hardware—and some of the little details that honestly impressed me. The plexi lid is CNC’d and magnetized (with a thumb hole in the right spot), and they even cut an access hole so you can reach the hidden 8mm bolt without fighting it. Small things, bro… but that stuff matters when you’re wrenching. Then we jump into the install: pulling the stock intake, transferring the sensor over (Phillips), getting the couplers set, and muscling the new box into place. I also call out real-world stuff like having extra wiring in the bay (winch, Baja light, etc.) and still getting it to fit clean. After it’s snugged down, we fire it up and do a quick rainy test drive. The intake noises are similar until the turbo spools—then it gets wild—in a good way. Power-wise, I do feel a little more, but I’m also running the OTT tune, so the tune is probably most of the gains and the intake is the airflow + turbo sound “driving experience” upgrade.
