In this video I’m working on a 2019-2025 RAV4 and installing our Striker Decal Kit, which is designed to run along the lower portion of the vehicle on the rocker panels. The whole point is to anchor the look with a bold three-stripe layout while also acting like a “catch pad” where these rigs get blasted when you actually take them off-road. This RAV4 already had paint chips in that area, and it’s a perfect example of why I like this placement—this decal covers a large majority of that strike zone. I walk you through the full install from start to finish: what tools you need (heat gun, isopropyl alcohol, rag, glove, optional tape measure, tape, squeegee, and a knife), how I trim the decal tight so you’re not fighting extra material, and how I line everything up using the factory body lines. I show my tape-hinge method, how to measure and match the taper so it looks right, and how to work the vinyl into grooves and intersections without yanking the transfer tape and lifting the decal. When it’s done, it lines up clean with the body line, runs right up the front, and adds that aggressive low-profile touch—quality air-release vinyl that’ll last a long time when applied correctly.
