wI was able to use the Nordic nRF Connect for mobile app on Android (version 4.2.1 Sep 12th 2024) to successfully upgrade my WisBlock 4631 Meshtastic node (U.F. 2 bootloader 0.4.3) from Meshtastic 2.6.11 to 2.7.15. BUT to make it reliable I changed the Settings- nRF5 DFU Options and set the number of packets for the Packet Receipt Notification to 1. (it also worked for another device set at 2, but definately failed when set to the default 10). The downside is that the transfer went at 0.7 kB/s and took around 21 minutes. (When set to 2 it went at 1.3 kB/s....) The upside is that it worked correctly on my hermetically sealed Meshtastic node, so I didn't need to break open the case to get to the USB port. Note that once your device has firmware version 2.7.13, the Android meshtastic app can also directly update the firmware (at a faster speed) and although it gave a warning about my WisBlock 4631 board, it did work correctly for me on 3 different tests, so in the future I should be able to use the Meshtastic app directly for future upgrades.
