Each double ended marker is held in place by an elastic at the center and is relatively easy to put in and out of the binder. They also include a book of black paper inside the binder to get you started. The markers are immediately ready to lay down paint as soon as you take off the cap and the acrylic paint flows well. Coverage was good, especially considering I was testing on their black paper. In several cases the paint color was lighter than what I expected based off of the plastic cap color. On the black paper the paint dries almost immediately, with almost no chance to wet blend. I also tried painting plastic figures with the markers and they worked relatively well for that as well. The paint stayed wet for slightly longer on the non-porous plastic but still dried much faster than standard "bottle" acrylic model paints. Overall I'm relatively happy with this set of acrylic paint markers.
