In addition to the linear actuator, the kit includes hinge pin mounting brackets, a forward/reverse switch, a waterproof switch cover, and a switch mounting plate with screws and extra crimp terminals to hook the switch to your 12 volt DC power supply. Under no load, the actuator took under 1 amp of power to extend/retract (it took slightly less power to retract than extend). The switch automatically springs back to the "off" center position, so you have to manually hold the switch in the in/out position while the actuator is moving. It has internal limit switches that stop the motor at both ends of the stroke. The material is primarily aluminum (case & shaft) but there are some screws that a magnet sticks to strongly, and the two hinge brackets are definitely steel as well, so some parts may rust over time if exposed to moisture. I stood on top of it and it was able to raise my 200lbs without any apparent strain or slowing down using less than 3 amps, so I fully believe it can move the rated 330 lbs with under 4 amps of current. At this price point I'm happy with the kit, but can't speak to its longevity or reliability over time.
