The anchors are steel, while the M10 screw on eyes for the top are 304 stainless. Most of my turnbuckles were stainless (but one eye was inexplicably much more magnetic than all of the other parts). A magnet stuck relatively well to the wire rope. The wrench and driver are definately steel. The carabiners appear to be 100% aluminum, and are a joke. They don't have a pin, so they are always open on one side. The screw up piece only keeps it from accidentally opening, it doesn't screw the open side together. I wouldn't use them as I expect they would bend open with any amount of real force. Otherwise, you are probably limited by the pull out force of the ground anchors in your ground, as they are only 3" diameter and 18" long, so the other hardware probably has enough strength to not be the weak link. [Having a few cable thimbles in the package would have made the kit much more professional in my eyes, as it is, the cable will crimp against the eyes on the anchors and the turnbuckles.] Definitely better than not anchoring things down, but they don't come with any instructions on how to use the cable clamps effectively and include the questionable strength carabiners, the use of which would add an unnecessarily weak link.
