The cable can be stretched 2-3 feet long and still have the coil return when released. The D-Tap connector fit my V-Mount battery perfectly, and connected with a good friction fit. The oversize handle makes it easy to remove when you are finished. The other end has a 5.5mm OD barrel connector. Although the listing claims it is a 2.1mm ID...I found that it would fit a 2.5mm pin inside and work just fine. It has enough spring so that it also works with a 2.1mm pin, so I'd say this is a 5.5 x 2.5 connector that just also happens to work with a 5.5 x 2.1 receptacle. The rating for the cable is 2 amps, and the wire certainly appears thick enough to support that.
