The base is heavy enough to keep it from easily tipping over, but if you push/touch it the top will vibrate back and forth for a while. It is a "Torchiere" style, sending light primarily upwards to bounce off the ceiling, which prevents glare, but is more for area lighting than task lighting. The top of the lamp can be tilted up to 90 degrees and rotated to point it into the center of the room. The power adapter is a US standard 120 volts, and draws 26 watts when the lamp is fully illuminated. (So I'd say it is a "25 watt" LED if you are comparing brightness power.) I feel the brightness is equivalent to other floor lamps of a similar size that I've seen. It has a single capacity touch point on the lamp body. Tap it and the light cycles between off, cool white, neutral white, warm white and then back to off. If you hold the touch point, the lamp will gradually dim (or brighten) until you release the button, so you can set it to a specific brightness. The remote control (uses 2x AAA batteries that are provided in the box) can also turn the lamp on/off, control the brightness and color temperature, and has a "1 hour" sleep mode. It also has several "pre-set" one button settings like "baby" "reading" "computer work" "daytime" etc that just jump to a specific combination of brightness and color temperature. The remote range was at least 50 feet, so plenty good for any regular sized room. The remote has a magnetic back, so will stick to the lamp post, or any other metal. If the lamp loses power, it remembers the setting, so will come back to whatever it was set to when the power comes back on. This means you can use it on a switch outlet if you want. It also means that if the lamp is turned off and your power goes out, it will stay out when the power comes back on. Aesthetically it's black, plan, and minimalist (except for the remote). The price feels about right for what you get, but I don't feel it's an amazing value.
