Review: SJCAM C400 Action camera 3-in-1 kit $199-230

SJCAM C400 Vlogging Creators Combo, with 64GB Card,4K Pocket Camera,7H Power use,6-Axis Stabilizer,Vlogs influencers Cameras,2.29'' Touch Screen,30M Waterproof Body Cam,Vlogging for YouTube,White I could not find a 64GB SD card in my package, but it worked fine with one I provided. This action camera is small and lightweight, and the "3-in-1" kit includes a charging handle that also includes a flip over control screen. You can place the action camera part into the included waterproof case, or in the magnetic "necklace" case, or into the "clip on" case, or the more traditional action cam cage that attaches to mounting points with double sided sticky tape. The accessory box is very complete, and the only item it didn't include was an extending selfie stick. As an action camera, it works very well. The image quality was good, the video stabilization modes worked very well, and it was easy to start/stop recording with the single button on the camera unit. It's semi-marketed to "vloggers" but I wasn't impressed with the audio quality. The handle with control screen is very nice, but I can't imagine myself shooting interviews or handheld video content without an external microphone. (And it doesn't have an external mic-in jack, so you would be synchronizing audio in post...) The price is significantly less than the market leaders, and while there are a few tradeoffs (the 11 second bootup time and muffled audio) as an action camera it performs very well and is a good deal at this price point.
