My US General toolbox really needs 23" wide foam, so I have a 1 inch "pocket" on one side of the organization foam, but this is ok for storing extra parts at the full depth of the drawer. It does take a bit of time to outline each of your tools and then cut them out by hand. This takes dedication and effort, but isn't particularly difficult. (And unless you want to throw a piece of foam out and cut an entirely new one, you are stuck with whatever layout and tools you set up initially, so it's helpful if you have a good plan in mind for how you want to organize things.) I like the dual color (red inside) as it makes it very clear which tools are missing and where they go. The 1 inch thick foam was perfect for box wrenches, and would probably work well for sockets. You could probably use it for larger screwdrivers if you were willing to cut all the way through the red layer, leaving only the bottom black layer in place, but you wouldn't have the two color effect as strongly then. For something larger like a cordless drill, you probably would want to go up to a thicker piece of foam. The final appearance does depend a little on how precisely and neatly you are with cutting the foam out, but even cut out somewhat messy looks better than tools just thrown in a drawer.
