[Calibrates up to 3 monitors on a system.] This sensor works with all of DataColor's software, and they offer you an upgrade path to the pro software. If you are just looking to calibrate your regular monitor or laptop display, the Express software does everything you need (and nothing more). The Express software works with Max Luminance of up to ~750 nits (cd/m²), which should be fine for almost all displays except except some of the high dynamic range XDR Apple displays. For those you need to pay for the Spyder Pro software which can go up to 2000 nits (cd/m²). See the full list of software differences here: https://spyder-support.datacolor.com/hc/en-us/articles/15888461682332-SpyderPro-Spyder-and-SpyderExpress-what-are-the-differences I evaluated the software on a Mac and it was easy to install and use. The actual calibration process took about 2 minutes (plus 10 minutes to install the software and register it with the serial number in the box). This device is supported under Linux via the very latest (3.4.1) version of the Agryll color calibration library, but most distributions haven't packaged the latest version yet, so until they do if you want to use it under Linux you will need to compile and install Agryll yourself until the packagers catch up to the latest version.
