The NiMH batteries are rated at 2,000 mAh, and they all tested to meet that specification in my battery capacity tester. The "UFL" is made of plastic, with 25 chromed "stars" in the bottom that each have an LED light in them. If the switch is turned on, the lights come on when the solar panel is in darkness, and turn off when it gets light. Testing overnight, the lights run the batteries down (from 1.4 volts to 0.5 volts) overnight, but the current draw and light output goes down the lower the battery voltage is, so I have seen it still putting out (dimished) light after 17 hours. If you leave it out in the sun for 8+ hours the batteries are fully charged again. When charging for only 4 hours of sunlight, the batteries gained 1,500 (out of their 2,000 max) Ah of capacity, so even a half day of sun gives you 3/4 of the battery charge. When fully charged the light is plenty bright enough to light up a flag. It has a 0.6" hole in the center and requires a 1/2 inch screw on flagpole topper of some type to hold it to the top of your flagpole (not included). They also include a plastic center plug / loop and clip on mini carabiner that allows you to hang it from a rope or hook. The top is sealed with what looks like resin, and the bottom screws on. There are a few "weep" holes in the bottom at the lowest point, so if any moisture does get inside it can escape, and all of the circuit boards are mounted high up, so they look to be well protected for the weather. The construction is plastic, the circuit is basically a larger version of what you would find in a garden light, and I'd expect you would need to replace the 3x NiMH batteries every 1-2 years of operation, but that only requires removing six battery compartment screws. Overall it looks to be a good offering at this low price point.
