It measures and displays PAR (both combined and split out into the individual RGB components) as well as UVA light intensity. The metal probe casing and handle was made of stainless/aluminum, so should be just fine in salt water. The measurements looked correct (without a calibrated meter to test it against, that's the best I can do on accuracy) varying as I would expect as the probe was lowered under water and giving expected results outdoors in full sun. It can be powered wire free by 3x AAA batteries (included) or tethered using a micro-USB cable and power adapter (also included). It has a "HOLD" and "MAX" mode to make taking measurements easy, and the display has a backlight making it easy to read in the dark, and is LCD, so you can also read it in full sunlight if you are testing outdoors.
