Hi friends, it’s me Stace. In this video I’m putting together a simple 12x12 scrapbook layout using photos from our backyard when the tree came down. I prepped my base paper with a fun little log stamp (it’s called “Jump for Joy” from madeit.com), and then I worked with what I already had ready to go—photos, journaling, and photo mats—so the whole page comes together super quick. This is the kind of layout where you can just eyeball it and have fun, not stress about everything being perfectly straight. I walk you through how I arranged the photos (I had to cut things down because you can’t fit that many 4x6’s on one page), where I left space for the title, and how I used my Cricut Joy to cut a tone-on-tone title that says “Oh, snap.” I also share a little trick for vellum overlays—using washi tape to help the text show up—plus I pop my title up with foam squares for dimension. This layout is also the start of my Project Life 2025 album, and the next page will be the fence being finished (because yep…Florida heat and backyard projects are happening over here!).
