Hey friends, it’s me Stace, and in this video I’m playing with two fun mediums for quick card fronts: texture paste and tacky paste. I make four card fronts total—two using texture paste that I tint with a little acrylic paint (pink and a pretty purple), and two using tacky paste that I let dry and then foil. I’m using 4" x 5 1/4" white cardstock pieces for the fronts and a few stencils (stars, leaves, a mandala, and daisies). The big thing with tinting texture paste is not adding too much paint, because it can thin the paste out. For the texture paste cards, I spread a thin, even layer through the stencil, lift carefully, and then the hardest part is waiting for it to dry (I let mine go about an hour). Once dry, these are basically ready to mat onto a base and add a greeting—super simple but with gorgeous dimension. For the tacky paste cards, I press the paste into the stencil (don’t just glide it on), let it dry until it’s tacky, and then apply foil. I ran mine through my Big Shot to get a really good transfer (you can do it by hand too), and the star foil one turned out stunning—like holographic blues and silvers. Even when the foil is a little blotchy, I show how you can flip it or add mats to “hide the mess ups” and still make it work.
