About This Video

This week I’m taking you along for a real-life sewing pivot—because New Look N6798 was not giving what it was supposed to give. The original jumpsuit plan turned into a full-on re-design, and I’m walking you through how I moved from “this is a disaster” to something I can actually feel cute and confident in. I’ll share what didn’t work, what I changed, and how I problem-solved the fit and the overall look so it ended up more “delightful” and a whole lot more me. I also chat about a couple patterns that helped guide my thinking: Kwik Sew K4244 (off-the-shoulder top, View B) and Simplicity S9679 (sleeveless cutout top, View A). For reference, I cut a Medium in the Kwik Sew and a 16 in the Simplicity, and I’m always keeping my measurements in mind (40 bust, 34 waist, 40 hips at 5’5”). And of course, you know I’m going to sprinkle in the fun—giveaway details, a little glam, and some DIY bag love with Babylon Leather (plus my SEWLOVELY10 code if you want to treat yourself).
