In this video I’m slowly making my way into becoming a script supervisor, so I break down what that job actually is and why it matters. On set, I’m basically the continuity “police” sitting at video village, watching every take and making sure things match from shot to shot—like which hand picks up a cup—so the editor isn’t stuck fixing preventable mistakes later. I also touch on the bigger responsibilities like script breakdowns, lining the script between takes, and building a production report at the end of the day. Then I go full kit-dump and show what I’m carrying right now to survive on set. My main home base is a Pelican 1535 Air case, and one of the biggest upgrades for me was moving to an M1 MacBook Air specifically because I needed Thunderbolt 3 to work with my Blackmagic recorder for monitoring and grabbing screenshots. From there it’s all the practical stuff: a belt pouch for quick access, gloves that still let me write, a sturdy Rotring pen/pencil setup, power banks, a headlamp for dark sets, and even a hand warmer because cold hands make writing miserable. I also bring my own foldable table, camping chair, and a RoboCup-style cup holder so my setup stays consistent even when locations change.
