Happy May the 4th—so I switched things up from my usual tech gear reviews and did a full Lego X-Wing build on camera. This was an anniversary gift from my girlfriend (Quay), and she made the right call getting the bigger 761-piece set instead of the smaller ~400-piece Luke X-Wing. I unboxed everything, laid out all six bags, and built it the old-school way with the thick instruction manual (even though Lego now lets you use a tablet/QR code). Along the way I built the minifigs like Poe and R2, and I nerded out a bit because yeah… I’m a Star Wars + Lego fan. Most of the video is the actual build process: I organize pieces by color (it takes longer up front, but it’s way more efficient later), talk through my simple filming setup, and show the cool engineering bits—like the wing trigger mechanism, the landing gear behavior, and how the cockpit narrows from 4-wide to 3-wide using angled pieces. The rubber bands are a big part of the wing action too, and it’s wild how much thought goes into both the design and the instructions.
