This microphone is well priced, well built, sounds great, but has one issue: Headphone input. Thanks Sudotack for sending me this product! About This Video

In this video I review the Sudotack ST-900, a $72 USB microphone you can grab on Amazon, and I’m genuinely surprised by how good it is for the money. Just like in my other reviews, it was sent to me by the company, but these are my own thoughts. Right out of the box, the build quality stood out—almost everything is metal, from the mic arm to the shock mount to the mic itself, and it all has this clean matte black finish. I also like the physical mute button with the LED indicator (green when it’s on, red when it’s muted). It’s simple and it just makes sense. Of course, none of that matters if it sounds bad, so I did a quick sound test and talked directly into it about six inches away. Since it’s a front-address cardioid mic, you speak into the Sudotack logo and it focuses on what’s in front of it, which is perfect for gaming, streaming, and podcasting. The big win for me is that it’s truly plug-and-play—I used it in Discord with friends and didn’t have to mess with settings to get audio I liked. But there’s one “except…” and it’s the headphone jack. Monitoring through the mic is crazy loud and basically not adjustable, which can be a deal breaker if you rely on that feature. If you can skip the mic’s headphone jack and use another output on your PC, this mic is honestly an easy recommendation at $72.
