Welcome to 2021. In this video I sit down and talk through what I’m trying to accomplish this year, especially after how “interesting” 2020 was. With the pandemic still going on, I’m reminding everyone to wear your mask and stay inside when you can—but I also share how being home actually helped me push my content harder. Last year I committed to uploading every single week as much as possible, and I also figured out a film role I genuinely enjoy and want to turn into a real career. For 2021, I’ve got two main goals. First, I want to level up the channel: be more consistent and bump my uploads from one video a week to at least two (and if I’m lucky, three). I’m also working toward monetization—YouTube wants 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours, and at the time of recording I’m at around 5,000 subs and 3,048 watch hours, so we’re over 75% of the way there. Second, career-wise, I want to get more script supervising jobs (pandemic permitting). I explain what script supervising is and why it finally clicks for me—kind of that bridge between being on set and thinking like an editor—and I’m putting it out there so you can help hold me accountable.
