About This Video

In this video I’m reviewing the Ocushield anti-blue light (blue light blocking) glasses, and yeah… I know I look like a goof because I basically never wear glasses. But the whole point here is simple: these are supposed to reduce the blue light coming off your screens so your eyes don’t strain as much—kind of like Night Shift on iPhone, Night Mode on Android, or apps like f.lux that warm up your display when the sun goes down. I even use f.lux on my desktop, and ironically it started flickering a couple days after I got these… so I’m definitely suspicious, Ocushield. I talk about price, comfort, and whether they actually do anything. The glasses come with a case and microfiber cloth, they’re lightweight, and once I got used to them I could wear them for hours—gaming, watching YouTube, browsing, even under my headset—without issues. They also visibly warm up what you see (and what the camera sees), so they are doing the “reduce blue light” thing. The one big caveat: if you do color-critical work like Photoshop, Lightroom, or color correcting video, these will throw off your perception because whites and warm tones look more orange. Do you need them? Probably not. But if you specifically want an analog way to cut blue light, they’re not bad—especially closer to the ~$50 range.
