About This Video

I’ve had my 5th gen iPad for a while and, honestly, I didn’t put a case on it because I was being lazy and I didn’t really need one. That changed once I started getting back on sets and using my iPad out and about—so I went looking for a heavy duty iPad case that would let me use it without constantly worrying about it getting messed up. In this video I do a quick review of a TSQ iPad case I found on Amazon (mine is for 5th/6th gen, but they make versions for 7th/8th gen and other models too). The case design is basically soft rubber over a hard plastic shell, with proper cutouts for the camera, home button, and speakers. I like that it has rubber flaps to cover the headphone jack and charging port, and the power/volume buttons are covered but still give satisfying tactile clicks. It also comes with straps you can sling through the corner holes, plus a wide Velcro carrying handle that rotates and clicks into eight positions, and there’s a kickstand underneath for different viewing angles. Installation is pretty straightforward, and for $22.99 I think it’s a great heavy duty option with a few minor flaws—mainly questions around screen protector clearance, the kickstand being a bit annoying to flatten, and the straps being a pain to re-thread (they do include a little tool). If you’re working on the go or you’ve got kids, this could be the right fit.
