This week was basically exam season chaos + me trying to keep it together (and still vlog). I take you with me through my first ever proper mock exam setting — English Literature — and I’m not even going to lie, I was terrified. I’d been on that “Mr Everything English” grind trying to get key quotes in, and we ended up getting a 2023-style question on Macbeth and A Christmas Carol. Macbeth? I felt like I cooked a bit (biblical allusions, psychology, Lady Macbeth, his whole evolution). A Christmas Carol was actually ruthless though — greed sounds easy until you realise to get the higher grades you need to push the analysis properly. I’m also chatting with my friends about predictions, nerves, and all the weird exam room things that happen (because why is there always someone doing the most). Later in the week I went to visit colleges in my area, did some school bits like media makeup (I did… not amazing) and computing (women in STEM, obviously). I ended the week finally finished with exams (maths paper 2 done!) and I even got a grade 8 in biology back super fast because my teacher is genuinely a beast at marking. Also yes, I had my little YesStyle moment — rings, bits, the usual — because I clearly love YesStyle.
