In this vlog I’m basically in my GCSE mocks era… and it’s not cute. I start off being like “I’m not gravely ill” (lies), because right after that I got insanely ill with a cold + random pains and I literally could not move, which meant I couldn’t study the way I wanted to. The stress is so real because I’ve been doing past papers every day, and even when I get a grade 9 on a biology past paper it still doesn’t feel good enough if I’ve dropped marks on things I thought I knew. That’s the vibe: revising, panicking, and trying not to tweak out. I do a quick rundown of how the first two mocks went: English Language and Biology. Biology usually makes me feel like I “cook” but the timing at school threw me off, and I fully fumbled monoclonal antibodies and the circulatory system. English Language was… something, because the extract was so weird that it felt like you had to say the same point ten different ways to scrape marks. I also chat about creative writing (I naturally write darker, more eerie stories) and how I tried to do “new beginnings” and nearly turned it into an action plot. To end it off, I’m trying to look a bit more put together with shiny nails, a scarf, and heatless curls—even if you can still tell I’m ill by my eyes.
