I also talk about the big “gotcha” with HDR PQ on the R10: it records H.265 4:2:2, which isn’t super editing‑software friendly. My fix is simple—when I bring the clips into DaVinci Resolve, my first job is generating proxy files so the timeline plays smooth. Then I walk you through my basic color management setup using Color Space Transform nodes (Rec.2100 + ST2084 in, DaVinci Wide Gamut/Intermediate working space, then Rec.709 Gamma 2.4 out), and I do a quick, normalizing grade (not a cinematic look) while watching the waveform so nothing is peaking.
