I went to the forest and a lake to test my Canon R10 paired with the SIGMA 24-70mm 2.8 on a cloudy moody day. Check out the results! About This Video

In this one I took my Canon EOS R10 out to the forest and then to a lake, just to see what kind of photos I can get on a cloudy, moody day. I paired it with the SIGMA 24-70mm f/2.8 ART and basically just hunted for little details—plants, textures, and that nice color contrast you get when everything is wet. I’m literally walking around like “ooh I love this kind of plant,” not even knowing the name, and trying to make the most out of green vs brown and all the cool trees. I also show the reality of shooting outside: you slip, you get soaked (more than once), and sometimes you’re bleeding somewhere and you don’t even know why. And yeah—overcast can look cinematic, but the boring sky is the annoying part, especially when the weather flips on you mid-shoot. My big takeaway: on days like this, stop relying on the sky and focus on contrast, color, and close-up subjects. Also: you need boots in the woods… that’s my slogan now.
