Check him out! :) (I believe we are not competitors as i am living in Europe :D ) A very simple technique to maintain detail in the background. About This Video

In this video I break down a super simple way to get “perfect exposure” when you’re shooting yourself indoors but you still want to keep detail in the background (like the sky outside the window). The trick is honestly just this: I expose for the outside first. On this setup I dialed in my settings to protect the highlights—f/2.8, ISO 200—and I used HDR PQ mode on my Canon R10 to squeeze out a bit more dynamic range so the sky doesn’t just blow out. Once the outside looks good, I build the inside exposure with lights. I bounce a 60W light almost at 100% to create a nice edge on my right side, then I bring in a stronger key (the SmallRig 120) to actually get my face where it needs to be. A 60W alone isn’t enough when your background is that bright, so the second light is the “secret sauce” here: key light + edge light, exposed to the outside. This is the exact approach I used for my own business Facebook ad, and it’s a setup you can repeat for promo videos and talking-head shots without guessing every time.
