In this video I’m testing Dehancer for the first time as a beginner, and I’m keeping it real: I’m not a “shot on film” technical expert—I just want a look that I actually enjoy watching. I take an ungraded edit (my trailer cut) and show you how I build a cinematic film look inside DaVinci Resolve using Dehancer on an adjustment layer, so I’m not baking anything into the original clips. And yes, this was filmed on my Canon R10 in 8-bit H.264, because I want you to see you can still get a good, cinematic result even with beginner-friendly footage. I walk through the core tools I actually used: film profiles (I landed on Agfa Chrome RSX2 200 for a moodier, autumn-brown vibe), print stock (Kodak 2383 was perfect for the darker, warmer direction), plus color density, color head tweaks, grain (subtle—around 15 for me), and a bit of halation/bloom for that dreamy edge in highlights. I also show extra features like film damage, gate weave, vignette, false color, and how you can generate/export LUTs.
