In this video I’m unboxing and setting up the ANNKE 2023 NEW C500 PoE security camera and showing you exactly what you get in the box and how it all goes together. You’ve got the bracket that twists and locks the camera into place, a drill template so you know where to drill, and the cover on the back that hides the micro SD card slot and reset button. I also go over the main specs: it records up to 3K resolution, has human and vehicle detection, up to 100 ft night vision, and an IP67 waterproof rating. You can mount it on a wall or upside down, and if you do mount it inverted you can flip the image in the app. I walk you through the three ways you can power and connect it, then I demonstrate the two most common setups. My preferred option is using a PoE switch: camera into the PoE switch, and the switch into your router—so you get power and data down the same Ethernet cable. If your router isn’t a PoE port, the other option is Ethernet to the router plus a separate 12V power adapter (and you can use an extension cable if needed). Finally, I show you the ANNKE Vision app setup, how to initialize the SD card so recordings actually save, how to use the timeline/event playback, adjust motion zones and sensitivity, zoom (up to 4x), and the easiest way I found to save and share clips straight to your phone.
