In this video I’m going through the ieGeek wire-free smart video doorbell and showing you what you actually get, how it installs, and what it’s like to use day to day. This one is battery powered (5600mAh) and it records short motion clips to a micro SD card—so it’s not a 24/7 recorder. If you want 24/7, you’re going to want a wired doorbell for that. I also mention that with doorbells similar to this, you can sometimes add a solar panel, so that could be a possible option to keep it topped up instead of taking it down to charge. I show the unboxing (chime batteries, sticky strips, screws, pin tool, USB-C charging cable), how to insert the micro SD card (up to 128GB), and how to pair the chime without needing to plug it into a wall socket. Then I walk you through the IE Cam app setup step-by-step: add the device, reset it, scan the QR code, name the doorbell, and check Wi‑Fi strength where it’s mounted. After that I go into the app features like quad screen (I run multiple cameras), motion sensitivity, alert plans/areas, history/messages playback, and how I save clips to my phone by recording the playback. I also test two-way audio and the voice changer options, and I end with the one change I’d personally like: power terminals on the back so I can wire it to low voltage and keep it constantly charged.
