About This Video

If you’ve been wanting to make videos for work (without turning your office into a full production studio), Google Vids just got a major upgrade: AI avatars. In this video I give you a tour of the platform and show you how I’d actually use it to create real business content—customer support explainers, internal training/SOP videos (yes, “videoify” your processes), and even lightweight marketing videos—all inside Google Workspace. I start from a blank project, then walk through the core layout: the top toolbar for styling/animation, and the left panel where the fun stuff lives—AI avatars, voiceover, image generation, screen recording, uploads, stock assets, templates, and shapes/text like you’d expect from Slides. I show my exact workflow: grab a script (I used Claude), paste it scene-by-scene (this is key because it’s way more malleable), preview an avatar voice, generate the clip, then crop and place the avatar so it looks designed—not “plunked in the middle.” From there I demo animating text, generating/animating an image into video, fixing crops, syncing scene timing, and exporting as an MP4 to Drive so you can publish anywhere.
