About This Video

In this video I tested the ANGRY MIAO DRY STUDIO BATTLEYE 74.5 RT, one of their newest Hall effect keyboards, and I went in with the big question: is a $240 starting price actually worth it? I show what you get in the box (keyboard, quick start guide, braided USB-C cable) and I’ll be real—no switch/keycap puller at this price is a miss. The unit I have is the Jungle Fever colorway with the green/orange accents, and the overall build is full CNC aluminum alloy with a premium weight, though it does smudge with fingerprints pretty easily. I break down the typing feel and features: leaf spring mount for some flex, sound dampening, and a slick typing angle adjustment bar that slides from 6 to 11°. The TTC KOM RGB switches felt really responsive, with adjustable actuation from 0.1 to 3.3mm, a box-like structure to help reduce stem wobble, and nice even RGB thanks to the see-through housing. The main “Battleye” feature is the Battle Light knob—an LCD dial (1.7 inch, up to 60Hz) where I can swap profiles, see real-time actuation, and even toggle scan rate (up to 8K polling / 16K scan rate) by swiping. Performance in-game was solid, but for pure gaming value I still think it’s overpriced unless you really want the aesthetics and that screen dial experience.
