About This Video

In this video I’m checking out the Akko Dash Ultra—yeah, a keyboard company making a mouse. This is Akko’s second gaming mouse, and even though it was sent out for review, everything here is my honest take. It comes in black or a white/purple colorway, and the shape is symmetrical with flatter sides and not a lot of curves. In hand, it reminded me of an X2 CrazyLight (medium), kind of sitting in that in-between zone where it doesn’t feel like a true mini but isn’t a full medium either. Performance was solid for me: no stutters or hiccups, smooth glide with the stock skates, and the mouse feels light at 44g. You’re getting a 3950 sensor, 8K polling, and tri-mode connectivity (wired, 2.4, and Bluetooth). The main issue I noticed is sleep/wake—sometimes it wouldn’t reconnect right away and I had to unplug or power-cycle it. Clicks are optical (minimal pre-travel and little side-to-side play), the wheel feels smooth with a nice rubber ring, and the coating is a matte finish that didn’t make me feel like I needed grips. For around $65–$70, you can find similar performers, but if you like the CrazyLight vibe and want something cheaper, this can be a solid option.
