About This Video

In this video I’m testing the G-Wolves HTX Ultra, and yeah—if you’ve been hunting for a “better Viper Mini” without paying Viper Mini Signature Edition money, this mouse is absolutely in the conversation. The HTX Ultra starts around $140, comes in a few color options, and it’s basically a near-clone of the Razer Viper Mini shape. The big differences I noticed are a slightly wider build and a lower front end, which ended up feeling super comfortable for fingertip or claw. I go over the specs and what you actually get: a 3950 sensor, up to 8K polling wired or wireless (with the included dongle), and a box loaded with extras like skates and grip tape. The shell is a solid plastic with perforations that give it a golf ball-like texture, but there’s no coating—so grips are pretty much a must. Build quality is very solid for a sub-40g mouse, clicks feel spammy with G-Wolves custom switches, and the scroll wheel is easy to spam too. In-game, performance was clean with no issues, so if you’re a Viper Mini enjoyer who doesn’t want to spend $300, this is a solid recommendation.
