In this video I’m reviewing the Arbiter Studios Akitsu in the Medium size, and honestly it fixes the one big issue I had with the Akitsu Small (it just felt a bit too small). The Medium feels great in-hand, and for $140 you’re getting a full carbon fiber composite shell with really solid build quality—I couldn’t get this thing to flex at all. You’ve got the dragonfly design all over it (including a full dragonfly on the bottom), plus an on/off switch, and it comes in black or white. Performance-wise, my experience gaming was smooth with no issues, and the weight is right around 40g with a really well-done balance. The main clicks use blue shell pink dots (my favorite switches), and the implementation here is super clean: light, spammable, minimal side-to-side play, and very little pre-travel. Side buttons are easy to reach and not mushy, the scroll wheel feels smooth and tactile (but the click is a bit heavy), and the web-based software is simple since there’s nothing to download. My two main callouts: there’s no coating so it’s slippery (use grips), and battery life wasn’t great—I got about two days on 4K polling, so expect to charge it more often.
