About This Video

Three years ago the original Wooting 60HE basically rewired what people expect from a “gaming keyboard,” and in this video I’m testing the new 60HE v2. I break down why Hall effect / analog boards feel so responsive in the first place—custom actuation, rapid trigger reset, and features like last input priority (yeah, the CS2 thing that got banned). Then I go through what’s actually new here: noticeably better out-of-the-box build quality, optional CNC aluminum case that feels way closer to a tuned custom board, and a ton of real dampening/soft-mounting choices that kill ping and resonance. I also cover the new Wooting switches (tighter, smoother, less wobble) and the split spacebar option, which looks weird but turns one key into three and can genuinely be more useful for gaming. The big headline spec is 8000Hz polling, so I did latency testing with a high-speed camera and found a small but measurable improvement—about 1ms in rapid trigger reset in my end-to-end setup. Finally, I compare it to the $35 Monsgeek FUN60, because the market is flooded now and price matters. The FUN60 is insane value and totally playable, but in my testing it lagged behind by about ~5ms on average. My takeaway: if you already own the original 60HE, you can mod it and get most of the way there; if you’re coming from something cheaper or worse, the v2 is still the benchmark for performance and innovation.
