About This Video

In this build I crammed an RTX 5080 into the Ncase M2 and, honestly, you just have to see the fitment. I tested a few different 50-series-sized cards in the M2’s vertical GPU layout, and the numbers are kind of stupid in the best way: after an hour at full load I was seeing around 70°C in a ~25°C room with fan speed under 1,000 RPM. It barely even sounds like it’s running, which is wild for this much performance in a case this small. I walk through the exact parts I used for my little brother’s new rig—Ryzen 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL28, 2TB 990 Pro, and an SF850—plus the stuff I’d do differently next time. The M2 can fit absolutely massive GPUs (the ASUS ROG Astral fits with a couple mm to spare, and the MSI Suprim is basically the limit), but cable management and tubing routing get finicky fast. I also cover the must-do BIOS settings for a Gen 4 riser, why I disabled the motherboard chipset fan (it was screaming at ~14,000 RPM), and why vertical GPU + 280mm AIO up top makes mid towers look a little inefficient.
