Quarantine new plants for 1-2 weeks 2. Treat for pests (even if you don't see any). 3. Shower off the leaves 4. Repot if necessary (I like to repot into clear nursery pots so I can observe root growth and soil moisture) 5. Ensure your plants are in a spot where they are getting enough sunlight or supplement with grow lights if they are not. My Grow Light Tips: 1. Use grow lights to supplement natural sunlight, especially in low-light rooms or during darker seasons. 2. Most houseplants do well with 10–12 hours of grow light per day. 3. Higher-light plants may prefer 12–14 hours per day. 4. Use a timer for consistency. 5. Watch your plants for signs: stretching usually means they need more light, while bleaching or crispy leaves can mean the light is too strong or too close. 6. Adjust the distance based on the plant and the strength of the grow light.
