About This Video

This video was the missing link in my workflow: I connected my Readwise/Reader “read later” library to Claude (via Claude Cowork), and now my personal assistant can actually search and act on everything I’ve saved—down to any word or concept inside any document. Reader brings the structure (inbox, highlights, spaced repetition), and Claude brings the intelligence. The big win is context: instead of using the limited, built-in AI features inside individual tools, I can stay inside Claude and ask higher-level questions while it moves items, cleans up accidental saves, and surfaces what matters. I also show how this fits into ICOR’s inner world vs outer world model. The outer world is the constant firehose (articles, videos, posts) that I route into Reader. The inner world is where I do deep thinking (Heptabase for me right now). With this connection, Claude can triage my Reader inbox, ask smart clarification questions, pull out relevant highlights, and then push the output into my systems—like Tana (and eventually deeper Heptabase integration once MCP improves). The takeaway: this is how personal AI assistants start to make real sense—less hype, more actual workflow automation that keeps you focused on the 3–4 topics that matter right now.
