Most people install Claude’s Chrome extension, pop open the side panel, and start chatting. And yes—Claude can drive your browser: search Google, click around, do the workflow. But here’s the problem I see over and over (even inside our community): when you use the side panel like that, you’re basically talking to an empty shell. There’s no memory, no project context, no working folder, no connectors—nothing behind it. In this video I show the fix: use the Chrome extension through Claude Cowork (or Claude Code / the desktop app) instead of the side panel. Same browser control, but now Claude has full context—your working folder, the memory it already has, and (if you set it up) MCP connectors to your tools. I demo flight research both ways side-by-side so you can see the difference immediately. Then I show why connectors matter: if you try to “read” your calendar via the browser, Claude ends up taking screenshots and it’s painfully slow. With the Google Calendar connector, it pulls the schedule directly—faster, cleaner, and actually useful for making decisions.
