This is the moment. Claude Cowork just introduced scheduled tasks, and that’s a massive shift for non-technical professionals who want an AI personal assistant that actually runs on autopilot. In this video I test the new “Scheduled” tab, show what the UI looks like, and explain why the simplicity is the change: you set it up once, and it runs forever—daily, hourly, weekly, whatever you decide. We used to hack this with Claude Code and local setups, but bringing it into Cowork with a transparent interface is what will drive real adoption. I walk through two practical examples. First, I use my “personal assistant” folder setup (with a CLAUDE.md instruction file) to create a daily scan inbox workflow: every morning at 7 AM, Claude checks the scan inbox, moves documents into the right folders, and writes a markdown report of what it did. Second, I set up a daily AI productivity trend report that pulls the latest updates from the web (and X) and compiles a report before I start my day. The bigger idea is the team use case: shared folders. Everyone drops deliverables into one place, and a scheduled AI task aggregates, summarizes, and reports—no more chasing updates across five people. This is life changing for teams, and it’s exactly where AI productivity systems are going.
